This is one of the first pieces I made after getting a job at a stone shop after art school. The gold leafed forged steel coffee suspends an actual size marble coffee pot above the granite and marble base. This piece was sold by my employer, and I have no idea where it is now. When it was slow he bought my sculptures by the hour, starting at $5.00/hr. I was grateful to learn and have access to a shop and tools, and regard that time as one of the happiest times of my life.
