Reuter Fireplace

I have always liked this octagonal column. This is some pretty tricky carving, and flaws are revealed loudly. This looks pretty clean.

This detail of the header gives a good view of the depth of field. The carving is actually raised from the header, which indicates that the entire header was hand cut to allow for the lunette detail to be proud.

I returned a few years later to do some wood carved corbels in the kitchen, and the light was dim, but I did get this updated pic. I love the Tudor style.
