Glimpsing In
Pastel on Wood
27″ x 32″

This piece was done in the coldest days of winter, when work was scarce and wishing was the most I felt I could do. Looking out the studio window across a frozen space. One of the very few pieces I have ever done on canvas that wasn’t a square or a rectangle. Not revealed by this photograph is that the surface of the piece is convex; its middle is thicker than its edges. You can kind of see it in the shadow under it.
