This fireplace, one of five I did for the home, was designed by the architect. I admire the simple lines. especially combined with the clean wood walls. Simple, but effective and somewhat dramatic at the same time.
The heavy, suspended hearth is an unusual design, but I think it works very well. These clients wanted to be able to watch the fire from their bed- and there was no television in the room. I love it!
