This fossil-filled limestone has terrific variety of tone while maintaining a certain reasonable consistency of hardness (most fossils are much harder than the stone they are contained in). A very nice choice for a hands-on era addition to a major house built in the twenties.

This room was built in the 90’s as an addition onto a prominent 1920’s home. Hand carved stone will always blend with itself, and it has been around a very long time.
