This is a photo of Old World Stone Carving’s reproduction of the 1923 original Long-ma capital, hand carved in Briar Hill sandstone by Dale Johnson. The Long-ma is a traditional Chinese cross between a dragon and a horse; the use of this symbol as the Western banks were just beginmning to relate to the Eastern banks is very cool. I tried hard to get it right, accurate to the original stone carving from 1923.
