Basswood, Acrylic and Oil Paints
16" x 8" x 8"
Silly little leprechauns for a bar in Indianapolis. Someday we'll be back and get pictures of the finished deal. Carving wood is fun, but it has it's own difficulties - sometimes it is best to choose the wood to fit the image, and not the other way around. Some woods are just miserable to carve, and others are a delight. For a painted project such as this, we prefer good old basswood, the woodcarver's friend for centuries.
