Indiana Limestone
Life Size
Commissioned by the graduating class of Hanover College (Indiana - 2001), these panthers sit at the entry of the athletic/theater complex. The seated one represents the Life of the Mind and the stalking one represents the Life of the Body. Our presentation here includes our initial clay sketch (note the measuring grid) and a couple process shots to show the steps we used to translate an idea into a finished work. These pieces were installed suspended on stainless steel anchor pins so the grass planted around them is able to grow right next to the paws.
