Down The Tubes 1.jpg
Down the Tubes
Patinated Brass, Etching
32" x 16" x 2"

This piece is part of an ongoing series of works consisting of patinated brass and bronze on wood armatures with images etched through the patina to create golden drawings that shimmy in the light when viewed from different angles. Featured is a drawing of a sinking ship against a stormy sky. The horizon line of the sea is used to establish level when the piece is hung on a wall. The pipe form of the structure gives the work the irony that "Down the Tubes" as a title is intended to evoke. These works have had several gallery showings. Ideas or concepts make excellent points to begin a commission of an idea you might have.
