I have to give credit where it's due- my eleven-year-old daughter was the one who came up with the idea that the teacher for this ladybug preschool should be a worm coming out of the proverbial apple. I have to confess- finding appropriate subject matter for pre-school age ladybugs proved a greater challenge than I expected. They stay busy, but what do pre-schoolers really do?
It was a joy to work up this scene, carved for the Easton Town Center, In Columbus, Ohio, to give spirit and interest to the Children's Park area. My hat is off to the management- they were a pleasure to work for, and I have the greatest regard for their commitment to provide a special experience to their customers, young and old alike. I wish other retail joints cared as much!
