Granite, Brass, Glass
6'-6" x 32" x 32"
Granite is usually quarried by drilling a series of holes, loading the holes with explosives and blasting large blocks out of the ground. The resulting rough surface is cut off the block to begin the process of slabbing for kitchen counters and the like. These "end cuts" are very cool in their own right. Here we have taken a couple and built a lobby desk from them. Highly unique, functional and very cool.
