Executed in Italy to our specifications, this marble fireplace with Corinthian Capitals went in without a hitch. In marble, it is, frankly, often more cost-effective to work with the craftsmen (and women) of Italy than to bring in the raw block and do the work ourselves. Domestic marble is of vastly inferior quality to that found in Italy, and the generations of experience available there help them to provide a very competitive price. We haven't been back to get good finish photos, but the character of the design seemed worth presenting here.
