Creekside Park, Gahanna, Ohio

Our involvement with Creekside began when a developer and good friend called to talk about a park he would be building, and during a couple hours on the way to a quarry there was a good deal of brainstorming. Working together with the developer, the designers, the engineers, and the architects, the OWSC team built a beautiful park, including custom retaining walls, copings, steps, a bridge, a waterfall, some plaques, a few fountains, a mosaic, an outdoor fireplace, and a formal limestone entry.

Preparation work has begun on a scholarship program for area students interested in a career in the arts, and a new life has been brought to a downtown in need of revitalization. This project demonstrates how, working closely with each other, the differing areas of expertise can bring out a harmonious whole bigger than the sum of its parts. We worked on this project almost two years, and had a great time, in spite of working in all weathers. Our thanks and best wishes will remain extended to the entire crew that built Creekside.
