Indiana Limestone
5'-6" x 4'-2" x 3' (sculpture only)
I love school mascot pieces. Everybody's thrilled to get them, they're publicly owned and will be around for generations, and the creativity allowed is great. This was a particularly fun one, in that the donor was a man with a great sense of humor. We still e-mail each other every now and then.
In addition to the master sculpture, I did a small version in clay that is now being cast in bronze as a thank you gift for other donors to the school.
I sent progress pics to the school, which kept up a running web site for the students and faculty to demonstrate the process of carving.
Any mascot can be done - just ask.
